Depends. What kind are you taking? Have you been taking them everyday? If you're taking them correctly, they start work usually within 7 days from when you started. Also, are you on any other medications or vitamins? The pill's effectiveness can alter. But you should already know all this.

Hi dear, Hope you are doing good. You should do a counselling with a gyno regarding the intake of birth control pill. You should know how often you should take them. You must have a knowledge of how to use them. Use other protective measures. Too much of pill intake can cause biological changes in the body metabolism.

Hi dear, hope you are doing well. Taking birth control pill is not the right thing. Use a condom even that is better. You need to consult your doctor about if you are safe or not. The right usage of birth control pill should be taken with the advice of the gyno. Pills can cause breast tenderness, missed periods changed moods.

I would suggest you t go for a checkup rather than moving around the bush for consoling yourself. I wonder why do you girls take birth control pill as a joke. Taking pills is not good for future health. One needs to be cautious about this. Please visit a good doctor for this.

In Oz, normally the GP's say after the first month you are good to go for unprotected sex or if you miss a pill wait until the next month to have unprotected sex. However you are now protected against pregnancy, not diseases so keep that in mind and the obvious applies for this part. Certain;y the pill is more reliable than a condom unless you hopeless at taking pills.

The pill these days is generally hassle free for most women, with the odd side effect your doctor should have discussed and what to do if you experience.
