Fishnets, sexy or not?

Postby aus_rf » Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:55 am

Do you think fishnets are sexy? personally I think sheer hosiery is much sexier and have never understood what is sexy about fishnets? Girls, do you wear them because you think men find them sexy? guys, do you say you find them sexy because thats what you think you're meant to say? Plus they look very impracticle and uncomfortable!!

Allow me to make it more complicated for you :

I sometimes wear fishnets over my sheer stockings .... confusing ?

I usually only wear them if the go with the rest of the outfit, my mood, the occasion, etc. A goth-party requires fishnets.

Fishnets are sexy because about the only reason a girl will wear them these days is because they are sexy. Recursive I know.

Was there a time when they weren't about sex ? What was the practical purpose ?

I'm sure guys find them sexy because they project a certain image. Personally I've only ever worn them once when wanting a look that's not exactly tarty but...kinda cheeky if that's the right word to use. I think as part of the right outfit they're fine but with a leather mini skirt and heels...well maybe not. :-)

Personally I prefer sheer tights or stockings. I've worn fishnets quite a few times and will do again with some skirts and boots they can add a certain something to an outfit and always usually get a second glance from girls as well as guys. But i think I like the feel of sheer hoseiry better.

Any hosiery is better than bare legs but i prefer sheer hosiery rather than fishnets which to me are not sexy.

Me too. I have often worn sheer 7 denier nude tights with flesh fishnets on top to create the look I want or to add warmth to just wearing fishnets. Having that extra layer underneath or on top helps during the colder months, especially if out clubbing and only wearing a short skirt or a pair of shorts.

I think fishnets have made a bit of a comeback in recent months - I often see them out and know that they are now quite common in my workplace. If chosen with the right outfit they can look sexy and sophisticated and not cheap and slutty.

I say go for it hun.

Fishnets are sexy, but to echo what others have posted, when my wife wears them, she always wears sheers underneath. She says, they are more comfortable with the sheer hose underneath. Although, she doesn't wear panties with pantyhose, and so the sheers underneath make it more comfortable in her crotch rather than having the netting up there.

They are. Probably, because are worn to be sexy, not for any practical reason. Many girls say they prefer sheer ones. OK, sheer look good too, but you cen always say, the're worn for wormth, not to look sexy (modesty?). Fishnets shout to audience: "look at me, I am different, I exist to look sexy and nothing else".
My wife wears them on regular basis, since I bough her a few pairs in bright colours, which are not so "extravagant".
PS.High heels are obligatory for fishnets aren't they?
