Graphics apps

Postby birdy » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:27 pm

Hey, could someone please recommend some very easy to learn and simple software to do leaflets and stuff on? I need to organise an event and have absolutely no idea about this

Please help, thank you!

How complicated is this leaflet goint to be? I mean if its just images and text then something free will do the job. And are you on a mac or Windows PC?

Mac or PC?
Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

Yes, but the OP was talking about producing leaflets, so I think we're talking about more than image manipulation here. iStudio Publisher is really good and relatively cheap if you have a Mac. I use it for a monthly newsletter for a club. I think we're talking about something like that although, if the leaflets are pretty simple, maybe Pages or Word could do the job.

I tried Swift Publisher and Printworks and got pretty much satisfied with both, yet the first one is cheaper and doesn't have additional stuff (like business cards or covers for discs). Before that I used to use Pages for posters and leaflets. Was ok, but Pages doesn't have that much tools for working with graphics and text.

Inkscape's probably worth a look, it's free so if nothing else it's not cost anything to try it.

Designing graphics for mobile devices is a challenge compared to desktop devices. Designers need to understand the complexities of working with mobile technology.

Canva is a very easy _ app for making different stuff, like cover photos, banners, posters, collages and so on.
