Utretus thin lining problem

Postby Jane Smith » Mon Sep 25, 2017 8:33 pm

I have been trying to conceive since three years. Despite all efforts nothing good happens. Sometimes I have sucidial thoughts.I feel frustrated about my condition. Life seems dark without children. I desperately want to become a mother. My medical tests show that I have thin utretus lining which measures 5mm. Doctor has told me it should be 7 to 8mm for normal pregnancy. He has suggested me surrogacy. His suggestion has left me hesitant. My husband is also not sure about its success. I have heard that 5Mm can have normal pregnancy and its confusing for me take decision. Is there anyone who can confirm me about this? Waiting for your kind help. Peace and blessings for you.

Hey, Jane, I hope you're doing fine. Your doctor is right your uterus lining needs to be at least 5mm in order for you to conceive. However, if you're still hesitant you should definitely visit another specialist and ask him/her for their opinion. As that helps to make a proper decision and an accurate one. In my situation, I was diagnosed with hormonal imbalance and since my AF was also irregular I couldn't conceive naturally. I thought of going for IVF however, due to financial issues I wasn't getting it done. I remember this one member on this forum telling her experience with a clinic. I started my research and got in touch with them. They called me for free for the first meeting. The doctors were very professional and after a long wait, I was called in. They did my testing and formulated the results. I told them that I wanted to go for IVF. However, till now they have been telling me that the better idea is to go for surrogacy. I was too hesitant but that is the only way left for me. However, uncertainty is definitely there.

I have few questions first to understand your infertility better if you don't mind. In this whole time did you get pregnant at all... like had a BFP but unfortunately lost it? What measures have been implemented in your treatment regime so far to help with endometrial thickness? What's your respective ages - you and your partner? Yes, 7-8mm thickness is ideal though there are several success stories with 5mm thickness as well. But the endometrial thickness is responsible for the continuation of gestation and does not directly interacts with conceiving. Unless you've had been pregnant a couple of time I think you should consider taking a second opinion, there could be other issues that are preventing you from conceiving. If at all surrogacy is what you're putting your hopes on... you need to decide whether you want it to be OE or DE conception. For the OE one, you need to absolutely certain that your eggs are not viable in any way. Also, if you want to opt for surrogacy you'll have to be certain your medical records reflects the kind of inability that cannot be reversed for legal compliance. WIsh you luck!

Hi dear! How are you doing? You should admit you doctor knew what he said. Exactly, for relatively safe pregnancy particularly at early on you have to have about 10 mm.
I think pregnancy is completely possible even if it’s 5. But it perhaps doesn’t make sense.
Mother always should think about conditions your child would be in. what a problem at all? World of medicine has and offers bunch of pills and gels to boost your lining.
You just take course of treatment and see results. I guess you must talk more with a doctor.
I can understand you’re worrying. Uterus and its tissue are the first requirements for the carrying. And if you’ve got them in inappropriate condition you start reading about surrogacy. And that’s another problem. God bless you and my best wishes!
