Is that a euphemism for something?
Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

Toyota Starlet. And my Dad's Volvo estate. Not much difference there then.

I should add that, despite the image I used, this was not an off-road vehicle....

No, idea but it belonged to the Austrian woman who taught me to drive. Funny thing happened after she had just had a new clutch fitted - occupational hazard for learner cars - and we were at a junction. I selected 1st and gently let the clutch bite and we started to edge backwards. She didn't believe when I said so she took dual control and we went backwards! Next stop was the garage to get them to sort out the gear linkage properly.

Mom's 1960's (63? 64?) Mercury Comet. I loved that old car. Cars had so much more "personality" back then. Miss Comet was quite quirky, especially in the cold though...hehe...

I learned on my moms 1980? Mercury Zypher. It was baby blue, and was auto.
Nice mid-sized car for a young girl to learn on,although it was horrid in the snow.
Natasha.

Hi Natasha,

i'd no idea what that car was so I looked it up, looks like quite a big car for something called mid size but I know you have things bigger in Canada than we do in the uk. I learned on a tiny ford KA, a small supermini car but it was ok. Way better than the deisel vauxhall my instructor also used for a spell!!

Why was the mercury horrid, horrid in snow did you say??

ford ka's are pretty popular these days.

They sold them here for a while (from 1999 to 2003 I think). For some reason they never caught on. You hardly see any of them these days.
