Global Warming and Natural Disasters.

Post by Victorious1-reborn »

The Redwood National Forest just lost over 100 acres of giant redwoods that had been there since prehistoric times to a massive wildfire. Heartbreaking to know if you've ever been there and experienced them. I also read that an entire arctic sheet has completely melted as well.

I thought the redwoods had bark a foot thick which protected them? I saw Yosemite after part had been devastated by fire.

My friends in Northern California were evacuated earlier in the week and had only been home a matter of minutes before they were told to get out again. Luckily last time round they took in friends from another town so they are able to reciprocate otherwise they’d be sleeping in a high school gym and getting Covid.

They do. The fires lately have been super hot, powerful, and not containable. So hot that it penetrated through the redwood bark apparently. Fires and mudslides are doing a lot of destruction, especially in California.

Can you just imagine? “Well the good news is you don’t have Covid, do you want the bad news?”

The good news...as long as it’s not pneumonic (now THAT is incredibly infectious) is that a course of streptomycin will sort it out.

Global warming is a scam to justify taking your money away. For the past 50 years, the global elites have been frantically warning against these new climate disasters. Remember how Antarctica was supposed to completely melt away by 2013?

I always find it somewhat bizarre that a UK based entertainment and lifestyle community website's forum is the subject of frequent attacks by right-wing American nutjobs.

I've found in the past some people in the US assume that a site is based there because it's in English. I once read a chap angrily berating a site's owners for using a UK based server rather than one in the US until someone pointed out it was a British site.

I can't recommend this book enough: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/099 ... UTF8&psc=1

It's a real eye-opener to the way the 'science' has been altered and fixed over the past few decades to fit a narrative.
The IPCC are absolute crooks.
(All claims made in the book are easily verifiable by the way, it's just that they weren't splashed all over the front pages.)

I like Christopher Booker.

Climate alarmists keep saying that “the science is settled.”

What seems settled is that they’ve been wrong for decades.

Is it rational to radically transform our way of life based on highly uncertain and likely false predictions?
