Making a pass at someone

Postby C.G. » Thu Apr 16, 2015 8:58 pm

1) How do you do it?

2) Are we all too scared to do it?

3) What was the most outrageous come on you ever had?

1) Well it's N/A for me, being saddled with Kingy nowadays, but I would have happily told someone I liked them in the right circumstances. Or at least made it obvious by body language. Like an invitation to pounce. I think that's a girl thing.

2) I think that men are scared nowadays.

3) I can think of two. One was when I was in a nightclub with a friend when we were students. This totally GORGEOUS young man came up to me and grabbed me and just started snogging me. It was no hardship, believe you me. We snogged for a couple of hours, but there was a complication with my friend and we had to go. So I didn't get his number.

Also, once, a man came up to me in the street when I was about 20 and just told me that he had been following me around the shops (a bit creepy) and really fancied me and wanted to ask me on a date. But I was seeing someone else and was good and said no. Ah, regrets. Now I am an old crone this sort of thing never happens.

1)I used to call one of my female co-workers "pretty one." but I've changed jobs since then, so that doesn't happen anymore.

2)Most people are too scared to do it without a good dose of alcohol first.

3)Probably the women who screamed like school girls, although that's only ever happened once.

I don't know whether this counts or not but I have been known to wink at strangers when passing on escalators. There is something about knowing you are both travelling in different directions, so no awkward fallout afterwards. And I like to think that once in a while it makes someone's day.

Or you use the same escalator at the same time every day and they are there waiting for you every day for the next five years.

If you are walking a dog, you can legally talk to anyone else walking a dog.

1) How do you do it?
generally I donut like going in cold, and prefers situations where there has already been an introductions. After that, I pretty much know if anything more might come of it.

Otherwise, I've only done it 3 times.
Want to get together during the summer break? Had a boyfriend
Canoeing on the lake this weekend? She had my children.
Watch a movie we'd been talking about: Wanted to, but did not want to get involved for several reasons.

2) Are we all too scared to do it?
Nope. just blurted it out. The second one I had seen while at my summer job for a while. actually saw her first driving to work, and was pleasantly surprised that this gorgeous woman not only worked at the same pharmaceutical company that I did, but that she worked just upstairs from me. One day I stepped into the elevator where she was, and said "HI, my name is…" she later said of this that I seemed cocky, yet would also watch me in the cafeteria, and said she liked the confidence in my walk and demeanor.

3) What was the most outrageous come on you ever had?
A woman I rode the train with every day said to me, "I think about you when I masturbate". This is still one of my favorite moments.

Fact
I told my grandson some time ago that, once he is old enough to drive, he should avoid spending money on a car and, instead, rescue a beautiful dog and take it for frequent walks. He completely missed the point, confirming that youth is wasted on the young.

They'd rather watch a you tub clip on how to pick up women than listen to someone that has actually done it.
