instant gratification for me, I think it's very much a generational thing. I don't have any patience, I struggle with that a lot.

Generally, I won't sit down and do what I want to do until all the unpleasant tasks have been done first.

But do you know, I am becoming more relaxed about this as I get older.

I will put myself into hardship because I am impatient, for example I had two weeks left on my tenancy agreement for a house I rented but wanted to move, and instead of waiting two weeks I moved, and paid rent at two places for two weeks.
Life would have been much easier had I just waited, but when something becomes attainable to me, and I want it. I want it NOW. I feel high levels of stress when I delay it I don't know why, I know it's stupid but I just feel that way.

I'm definately much better than I was, but I still get impatient. I envy the people who can do things like DIY projects and really enjoy making slow progress over days, weeks and months, patiently doing it right. It must be such a joy to watch your plans slowly come to fruition.

As long as it's not a very long delay.

It's not worth postponing pleasure so much that you spoil it. Although I like to get all the groundwork done right before starting a project, sometimes the chores can wait.

I've always been good at saving up for something, or thinking I shouldn't spend for something yet. I keep putting off buying a new camera, thinking I can deal with having to keep inserting the chip over and over.

speaking of inserting though, I'm not one to put off sexual gratification. That said, its been 10 days, and I'm kinda curious how long I can go for

Is this thread about sex?
Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

That's fair enough but what if you can't control it? For example, I have tickets to an Ashes Test match in August that I'm really looking forward to but I can't make it come any quicker.
