On days like this I shower at work since even going the short distance from the front door to the car turns a body into a ball of sweat .

I hate it, I'm starting to feel quite ill now. I can't sleep and I don't feel like eating much. I've got a couple of portable air-con units which help a bit, but they can't really cope with full sun all day long and outside temperatures of around 30C.

I'm enjoying it.It's nice to sit in the garden after work and get some sun and we have eaten dinner al fresco nearly everyday for the last week. I have a big ceiling fan in our bedroom so not getting to hot at night either.

I have no problems with hot weather here, as it is mid-winter at my location at the moment. :)

I am not sure of that, but most of the cooking that day would have been done on the sidewalk and road. The tar on most streets was red hot. I was told that one schoolboy for a bet, put on a thick overcoat and did a lap around the school grounds. He was soon after taken to hospital with heat exhaustion. Apparently, on that day in Townsville, it was 90 F at 6.00 am in the morning.

That must have been in the sun, as the world record shade temperature stands at 134 F at Furnace Creek, Death Valley, California, now that the ealier 136 F in Libya has been discounted as invalid.
