Thank you for your thoughts..I’m ok though.Oh Chudleigh... I'm so sorry for your loss.I have had to say goodbye to my big sister this evening for the last time. Sad as I am, hers was a good life well lived. The memories I have from childhood , running through fields and woods will never fade. She couldn’t receive life prolonging treatment and didn’t receive palliative care because of this bloody mess.... angry? F****** right I am.

Chudleigh, I'm so sorry. I was just popping by and now I see this.
I just wanted to reassure everyone I have made it and will be fine. Back to posting in about a week.

Re: Coronavirus Survival Tips, Rumours and Hearsay
My sister just called me to tell me that she has tested positive for COVID and that she exposed me, my dad and my son last week when we took my dad to his appointment and got carry out. I'm a bit annoyed about it since I tried to call off my birthday this year. The whole outing was her idea and she pushed really hard for it.
Now my dad is in grave danger, my son has to miss work, and I can't go to my dentist appointment or take my dogs to the vet unless I test negative STAT. My dad is super high risk and I keep telling my sister to stay in Ohio because although my dad is only 1/2 hour drive from where she lives it is still a whole different state with a totally different demographic of exposure.
I am not having any obvious symptoms yet and neither is my dad. My son is going to set up testing for both his grandfather and himself tomorrow.
Are you feeling better yet Lucy?

I thought you lived or your dad lived with you, Vic?
I'm glad you're better, Lucy. Are you getting any post-viral problems? It's probably a good idea to shovel some L.acidophilus into your self. Never hurts anyhow.

Lingering slight cough. Weather’s too miserable to get on my bike, which will give me a good measure of where I am once I can. But otherwise I feel very well. I’m able to exercise normally on my mat. No brain fog. It was a b***** though.

I live in what used to be my grandmothers house which is now part of a trust in my name. My father lives @ an hours drive away in the house I grew up in.I thought you lived or your dad lived with you, Vic?

Starting to get symptoms like a headache, stuffed up nose and a cough. No fever. Managed to get a test scheduled for this afternoon.

While you can, prepare half a dozen small water bottles next to your bed. Crack the tops and refill as needed. Don’t have a glass in case you smash it. Have something like flapjacks ready to eat plus fruit. You want bland, high energy snacks you can nibble. Have an anti inflammatory like paracetamol ready. Gatorade or similar will help.

I have tested positive. The hospital has wasted no time sending the result to my patient portal.Fully recovered, thank you. Fingers crossed for your family now.
I'm very glad that you survived this. But since I have no doctor friends willing to send me antibody cocktail packages in the mail I may not be as blessed. And my 85 y-o-father who has stage 3 and bordering on 4 kidney failure and a heart monitor is now in grave danger. His test was yesterday but the results aren't back yet. He is asymptomatic so far. But since he was exposed to my sister as well I don't have a good feeling about it.
I'm having a strange symptom in that ever since last night my skin is red like a mild sunburn for no apparent reason. No fever- just red skin, a stuffed up nose, a mild cough and a headache.

Sorry to hear this, Vic, and fingers crossed for your father. It's a bloody curse. Have you everything you need in place to deal with it...meds, food and drink... sure you're a prepper so I'd imagine you have it all. Let us know how you go. A line a day to say you're still with us if you can't manage any more.
Was it antibodies that were in your package, Lucy? Do spill the beans? Did you need to take whatever it was or were you better before it arrived? Curiosity is killing this cat.

Thank you. I do have lots of stockpiled food but need a fresh loaf of bread and and maybe some bottles of apple juice. My neighbor that plows my driveway is gonna leave a bag on my stoop. I taped an envelope with cash in it for him to my door. I'm more worried about my dad. So far he is asymptomatic- which is a good sign.
I think that maybe the chest cold I had weakened my immune system.
