The knives are out for Johnson. It can't be coincidence that the Arcuri harlot confirmed today that she was shagging him.

Christmas Day is henceforth known as December 25th. Boris Cromwell has effectively banned it.

I was interested to see on a clip on YouTube in the background on a bus in Victoria, Australia the banner "Let Us Work". I have a feeling it will be a growing movement.

Tomorrow I am likely to hear that Wales is going to be placed under “lockdown “measures. The reality is that it won’t be a real lockdown as in “not being able to go out”. People can still work and shop. But social meeting opportunities will be proscribed. The hardest hit for me has been not being able to gig as a part time musician. I would have a group practise weekly with at least one weekly gig... sometimes two. I would be playing weekly in my local pub. I’m not much of a drinker these days as I have stopped drinking beer but I like to play. Will these stricter (are they really?) measures have any effect? Hmm, I’m sceptical.I think it’s a little late in the day now. But, maybe it needs to be seen to fail for there to be a change of approach in addressing the situation. But asides from the social restriction....I’m not badly effected , as a retired man. My income is fixed and secure, I live within my means. I am able to support my parents and get my provisions in. However there are many people around me whose livelihoods now seem to be precarious. My concern is that the government seem to be sleepwalking the economy to the edge of the abyss.

Ryan downplays the economic consequences, essentially dismissing them:
It is asserted that an elimination strategy is bad for the economy, despite the fact the low-Covid and ZeroCovid countries are ranking highest in business confidence, lowest in GDP decline, and have a self-evidently booming domestic economy and social life.
Without naming those low Covid countries. Not much to be gained in pointing to the sparsely populated, geographically and economically isolated New Zealand with its abundance of resources, for example. Show us a comparable country which has both low Covid and a booming economy.

Many of my friends have lost their jobs now, as have the people I used to work for and with. We risk a bigger disaster now. Experience from the Thatcher years shows that many of the areas of higher job losses never recover and are left forever with higher crime, poorer quality and precarious employment, lower educational attainment, huge health inequalities and failed public services. If we have to wear spacesuits outside the home and drink through straws then that's what we must do, but we have to work.

But she is absolutely right, Winston. People have to work, come what may. With this hapless , knee jerk reaction the government are simply consigning millions of people to long term unemployment and poverty ...while we all stand by and watch.

I get that. But not with more restrictions. That won't work.

I agree...I don’t think it will...people have had it up their back teeth.
