Silky slips/petticoats...and hello

I'm not really sure where to start.Having stumbled on this rather comprehensive forum via a link to a topic regarding half slips.
Being somewhat old school I still have many recollections of the ladies showing a tantalizing glimpse of sexy scalloped lace peeking below the hem of their skirts and dresses. Sadly a rare sight these days.
I don't suppose we're ever going to be treated to a true revival of slip wearing but hey ho!
There's always room for optimism!
