Half the smilies don't load either.

Re: The trialling of hydrogen powered trains

A fried of mine has an electric car from the early 1900s.
He still goes around in it.
The patents were bought out by the oil companies as soon as they were filed.
Only a handful were made but to have one still running is quite remarkable. It only has a range of 30 miles or so.

Re: The Last Bird You Saw

I looked out of the conservatory window and saw a sparrowhawk slowly plucking and killing a struggling collared dove on the lawn. Re: Coronavirus Survival Tips, Rumours and Hearsay

Things really haven't changed much for us. With Mrs Sox's health problems we have to be very careful. She is the most at risk person I know. We have a "bubble" with friends on Tyneside which has proved vital as we struggle so sort out my mother's house. She's now in a care home and I can't visit her...

Re: Student drinking

I quickly made a lot of friends outside of art college and would drink with them.
I suppose as they were more adult they always managed to get me home.
I don't think I ever went to a party that I enjoyed.

Re: Coronavirus Survival Tips, Rumours and Hearsay

My mother went into a care home just as lockdown started and up till now they have had 3 cases of vivid and they were immediately contained and no ill effects ensued.
They are tested regularly as are all the staff.

Gone fishing with Mortimer and Whitehouse.
Unfortunately it's a bit too like me with my brother in law.

I'm managing to keep up the cycling.
Maybe 3 times a week and usually a 10 mile trip.

I've started watching Battlestar Galactica too.
Otherwise there appears to be even more crap than usual.

Re: Coronavirus Survival Tips, Rumours and Hearsay

Apparently the beach at Bournemouth has been trashed so badly a major incident has been declared. Dirty bastards.
Hearing that families have driven 3 hours from Hertfordshire and have turned back because it was too busy!
Did they think they were going to be the only people with that idea?
