Re: Embracing newcomers to our multiracial community

He was a great orator though, something that has been forgotten because of that speech. Many great orators talk shite, depending on which side of the political line one stands. Two that come to mind are Alex Salmond and Nigel Farage. If history was to list the top 5 or 10 orators of the last centur...

Re: Loose lips sink ships

"Careless talk costs lives". When I was a kid in wartime London I was desperate to know a secret just so I could not tell anyone about it. :shh: Why didn't you just pretend to have one ... nobody would have known you didn't, as long as you didn't reveal what it wasn't! What part of London...

Re: Loose lips sink ships

Reminds when Blair came out and told us about his intelligence on Iraq and the reason we went to war. Oh, hold on, they were porkies.
Had he kept that from us we would have been none the wiser. Lesson learnt eh?

Re: Should we bomb Syria?

Why should it be our responsibility? Where are all the other members of the United Nations? When a military grade chemical was used in Salisbury we, the UK acted and were supported by numerous other countries. If another country acts against Syria for a chemical attack, I think the UK has to suppor...

Re: What's you favorite dish to make?

Spaghetti Bolognese because I'm a student and its so versatile. I like going out into forested areas and collecting wild garlic or rhubarb and adding to it. Usually I buy and add chillis to it to make it more potent. I am with you Sleepyhead, I love spag bol and it is a tasty, filling and wholesome...

I will confess I have not watched any of it and who won the most medals, not a spark of interest.

Good move. Charles III wouldn't sound very good when said with a strong Irish accent.

Re: The 'murdered' 'burglar'.

I have little sympathy for the guy, someone who had been in and out of prison and took part in conning pensioners out of nearly half a million pounds. Breaking into an old folks house and threatening and holding a weapon to his throat whilst his accomplice went upstairs where his wife was asleep. So...

Bullseye.
Not an ambassador of darts or of men, but thoughts do go out to family, even I can vaguely remember him. Stuck his little pinkie out like a girl if I am correct.

Re: Ryanair gender pay gap

Not at all, the comparison was Achieving KPI's, no time off sick, and working late when needed. Versus Not achieving KPIs, time off sick, and not working late when needed. A manager or at least a good manager will know the difference between someone with a serious illness and the person that takes ...

Re: New Idea on Pubic Hair

Mr likes me with a little variety. Most of the time I am smooth, which is my prefered option. Sometime, I leave it and trim, which then migrates to a 2 cm landing strip, then a pencil thin strip which he also likes. That I keep for him, swimming and gym sessions is strictly bald. He has said he isn'...

Re: Ryanair gender pay gap

A difficult one is some cases to judge when pay awards are often based on merit. Imagine a Company hires four Accounts Assistants and pays then all £30,000 a year. Two women and two men, after one year there is the pay rise and two of the accountants have achieved all KPI’s, no time off sick and occ...
